A mountain with a south exposed takeoff
(180 degrees) at the beginning of the Izerskie Mountains. Good for dynamic soaring and thermal flying.
The takeoff is possible only within a slight deviation of the wind direction.
The best wind direction on the main ridge of The Karkonosze is 140-160 degrees.
Because there is very little space at the launch site, it’s a place only!!!
for pilots who are very well-skilled in reverse launch. The difference in altitude between the takeoff and
the landing place is 220 m. You can land 800 m away from the takeoff
on a big meadow or make an emergency landing earlier.
To get to Wysoki Kamień drive from the centre of Szklarska Poręba
to Biała Dolina (a district of the town) and then follow the red tourist trail uphill.
50 m before the top turn left into a path which will lead you to the takeoff in a few minutes.
